Innovation and mobile phone usage is surging in Africa. For many Africans the mobile phone is the one and only portal to the internet that they know about, and their usage of the handsets are surging with new ways of improving their situations. When I visited the incubators at the Innovation Hubs in Pretoria in South Africa and in Gabarone in Botswana earlier this year, I met many young entrepreneurs who with a strong belief in themselves and the future of their society through tech.
