Sam Gregson is a physicist at the University of Cambridge and the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, Switzerland. In terms of the public understanding and appreciation of science, its importance, relevance and benefits, he improves these perceptions through active scientific outreach and scientific stand-up comedy.

He looks at some scientists who have succeeded in capturing the public imagination, and some who’ve remained fairly unknown, to look at how we might make science more engaging for a wider audience.
