On the 4th to 6th December 2013, the Bearing team attended the successful EBN (European Business Network) Tech Camp 2013 event in Rovereto, northern Italy.
The three day event was organised by EBN for Business & Innovation Centres, Incubators, Accelerators and similar organisations whose clients are new or early-stage companies growing innovative businesses. Providing innovation support to start-ups, entrepreneurs and SMEs is an important part of creating and developing successful and profitable business.
EBN was created over 28 years ago by the European Union and is the leading non-governmental pan-European Network, which incorporates over 250 BICs, Innovation-based Incubators, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centres and Business Accelerators across Europe and beyond.
During EBN Tech Camp 2013 a number of specialist guest speakers presented briefings and workshops on key subjects and challenges within the industry.
As part of the “tool exchange” event and exhibition, the Bearing team presented our successful Innovation Navigator tool. 18 organisations in total pitched their tools to an impressive audience of clients and professionals from across Europe and even further afield.
The Bearing Innovation Navigator is used to measure and analyse the innovation capabilities and unique strengths of an organisation. Its analysis focuses on four key areas: Offerings, Presence, Processes and Customers and gives an X-ray of the business, showing all aspects of the company’s innovation capabilities, perceived strengths and weaknesses, as well as giving a concrete mapping of its unique or possible Sweet Spot.
