Debate on the future of Europe

The European Year of Citizens 2013 is dedicated to the rights that come with EU citizenship. Over the year, the European Union encourages dialogue between all levels of government, civil society and business at events and conferences around Europe to discuss those EU rights and build a vision of how the EU should be in 2020.

One of the activities is the launch of a website for dialogue with Europe´s citizens with interviews, dialogues and surveys. The idea is that the better the people of Europe understand their benefits and rights as EU citizens, the more informed the decisions they can take in their personal lives, and the more vibrant democratic life in Europe can be at all levels.
