Seminar at the Competence Fair 2012

We are pleased to inform you of an interesting and significant seminar at the Competence Fair (Kompetensmässan) in Stockholm on the 14th of November. At the seminar, Christer Asplund will give an account of a new study about the talent attraction management of Swedish municipalities and the basis for making regions attractive.

Kompetensmässan

Nations, regions and municipalities in our surrounding world are now getting prepared to attract talents in the shape of specialists, scientists, business executives, entrepreneurs, engineers, students and teachers. After one-sided attempts to attract capital and companies to settle down at a certain location, the focus is now shifting to what is called the global talent attraction. But what are we doing in Sweden – in reality?

At the prospect of this year’s Competence Fair, Bearing is publishing a study on how the talent attraction – and hence the supply of competence – is actually managed in Swedish municipalities. 100 municipalities have been interviewed and the results are presented for better or worse. With the ambition to stimulate new thinking in the Swedish reality, a long series of very concrete proposals for action will be presented.

The seminar turns to local and regional decision makers in the public sector, as well as business executives, HR specialists, headhunting companies, public authorities and not least the colleges and universities of the country.
